DAC 5 Special (Signature)

Available in Special and Signature versions, the Audio Note UK DAC 5 stands at the pinnacle of the digital to analogue converter range. Using technology based on the Analog Devices AD1865N chip, both models offer true balanced circuitry throughout. 
 
 
 
The circuit features dual-mono power supplies to the analogue output stage, which uses two NOS 6463 dual triode valves to a copper-wound, AN-Perma double C-core output transformer. 
 
 
 
The unit also uses Audio Note UK’s I/V transformer interfaces, and their 1 x oversampling, Direct From Disc technology. Taking the converter to the ultimate level, the Signature version is fully silver wired, including silver-wound versions of the I/V and output transformers and the highest quality components in all relevant locations.
 
 
 
A real statement product, the DAC 5 Special and DAC 5 Signature are available with a face plate in either brushed aluminium or polished black acrylic to match other products in the Audio Note UK range.
