DAC 2.1x Balanced

The Audio Note UK DAC 2.1 Balanced circuit features an Analog Devices AD1865N digital to analogue converter chip and employs Audio Note’s 1 x oversampling and Direct From Disc technology. 
 
 
 
The unit also has an input stage with Audio Note’s patented I/V transformer interface and digital input transformer. The analogue section of the unit employs a pair ECC88/6DJ8 valves in anode follower configuration with zero feedback.
 
 
 
Like the 2.1x Signature this DAC uses Audio Note Kaisei capacitors and Audio Note tantalum resistors in crucial places and Audio Note copper foil signal capacitors including an upgraded power supply, with a substantial choke filter and valve rectification.
 
 
 
The Balanced version offers, next to balanced input, also balanced outputs. Instead of coupling caps, specialised output transformers are used which makes this DAC fully transformers coupled.
 
 
 
This highly-regarded DAC is available with a face plate in either brushed aluminium or polished black acrylic to match other products in the Audio Note UK range.
